Overview

Island Peak Climbing, also known as Imja Tse, is one of Nepal’s most popular and rewarding trekking peak adventures. Situated in the heart of the Everest region, this climb offers an exciting blend of classic Everest trekking and real Himalayan mountaineering.

Island Peak was first climbed in 1953 by members of the Everest expedition as a training peak. Today, it is considered the perfect introduction to high-altitude climbing, offering breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Baruntse. The climb involves glacier travel, fixed ropes, and a steep snow headwall near the summit.
