Overview

The 14-day itinerary is creatively designed to capture Nepal’s beauty, people & culture in the shortest period of time. The trek to the Everest region is one of our most rewarding journeys! Nepal is a country of friendly people, beautiful scenery, and a large variety of cultural traditions. This blend of outdoor adventure and cultural exploration is a great way to experience the Himalayan Mountains - the world’s most impressive mountain range - and is sure to create lasting memories and provide you with a satisfying sense of accomplishment.
After arriving, you will have a day to explore the exotic city of Kathmandu before flying into the remote mountain town of Lukla where you begin your teahouse trek into the Khumbu region of the Himalayas. Situated at an elevation of 9,350 feet, the views of the Himalayan Mountains from Lukla on a clear day are breathtaking. Once there, we follow an ancient route that journeys through tiny villages, across high mountain passes, and through remote valleys. Along the way, we visit Buddhist monasteries and begin to appreciate the unique mountain culture found in the Himalayan foothills. The views grow more spectacular as we venture up the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar - the gateway to the Khumbu region at 11,300 feet. After visits to Sir Edmund Hillary's Khunde Hospital and Khumjung School we trek up the Thyangboche Hill to an altitude of 3,860m and then cross the plateau to Deboche, stunning views are in every direction.  The highest point we reach is approximately (4,600m/15,180ft) at Ama Dablam Base Camp.  En route we have a private audience with our friend Lama Geshe.  At Pangboche we are mid-way up the Khumbu Valley, and have several opportunities to sight Everest. We descend down passing through Tengboche, Namche and to Lukla.
